Smoothie Bowls
Smoothie:
- 1 packed cup baby spinach
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups frozen mixed berries
- 1 or 2 individual packs frozen Sambazon Unsweetened Organic Acai
- 1 banana
- 1/2 to 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (optional)
- 1 or 2 organic medjool dates (optional, if you prefer a sweeter smoothie)
Toppings (any or all):
- Loving Earth Chocolate Buckinis
- Coconut flakes
- Goji berries
- Fresh berries
- Bananas, sliced
- Pecans, almonds and/or cashews
- Essential Hemp Hemp Seeds
- Vego Spread (heated so it melts a little to drizzle)
- Cacao nibs
- Anything else that takes your fancy
1. Prepare toppings.
2. In a blender, blend the baby spinach, banana and optional protein powder or dates with the water until completely smooth.
3. Add berries and Acai and blend until desired consistency, adding a little extra water if required. The smoothie should be quite thick.
4. Spoon into bowls and top with desired toppings. The one above has hemp seeds, strawberries, blueberries, cashews, banana, Chocolate Buckinis and Vego Spread.
Serves 2 - 4, depending on appetites and the amount of toppings used.
